Testing protocol

Every method or tool we recommend is tested on a real account by a member of the editorial team using their initials publicly. We don't outsource testing to anonymous freelancers. The minimum testing window is 14 days for time-to-payment claims, 30 days for income claims, and 90 days for any “passive income” or “builds compounding traffic” claim. We document the test setup, time invested, payout received, and any caveats discovered along the way.

Fact-checking

Every article is reviewed by M.A. before publication. Each numerical claim is traced to a primary source — typically the platform's own pricing or terms-of-service page, an SEC filing, or a documented test result of our own. We avoid citing other content sites for factual claims because they're frequently wrong; if a Reddit thread or a forum is the only available source for a piece of folk knowledge, we say so explicitly.

Affiliate disclosure and the firewall

We do earn affiliate commissions on some links. The disclosure appears at the top of every article that includes affiliate links, and again in the footer. The editorial firewall works like this: the writer drafts the piece based on the testing data and editorial judgment, picks the “best” option without reference to commission rates, and only then are affiliate links inserted by an editor. The “best” pick on a list is allowed to be a tool we earn nothing from.

What we don't write about

MLM businesses, dropshipping built on misleading ad creative, get-rich-quick crypto schemes, anything requiring upfront fees from the worker, anything that targets minors with adult monetisation, anything that involves selling personal data, anything based on fake reviews or AI-generated “testimonials.” We say no to these regardless of how attractive the affiliate payouts are.

Updates and corrections

When a platform changes its pay rate, payment method, eligibility, or geographic availability, we update the article and add a dated note at the bottom. Significant updates trigger an edit to the “updated” date in the article header. If we make a factual error, we correct it visibly — not silently. Spot one? Email us at hello@thehustlearchive.com and we'll usually have it fixed within a week.

AI use in our writing

We use AI tools (mostly ChatGPT and Claude) for outlining, brainstorming, and copy editing. We do not use AI to fabricate test results, generate fake quotes, or create images of people who don't exist. Final drafts are written by humans on the editorial team, reviewed by another human, and signed with initials. If we ever publish an AI-assisted draft for transparency reasons, we'll mark it explicitly.

Reader privacy

We use minimal analytics (page-view counts and aggregate referrer data). We don't sell email addresses. Our newsletter is single opt-in with one-click unsubscribe. Full privacy policy →

Conflict of interest

If a member of the editorial team has a personal financial stake in a tool or platform we cover, that's disclosed in the article. We don't accept paid placements, sponsored articles, or “reviews” written by the company being reviewed. If a brand reaches out asking to be added to a roundup, we tell them they have to earn it through testing — same as everyone else.
